Anthony Anderson has officially crossed the Howard University stage!
Graduating from the illustrious HBCU on Saturday May 7 in Washington DC, the former Blackish The actor celebrated his college accomplishment with an Instagram post to share with his 1.8 million followers that his graduation was not just a “full circle moment” but “30 years of preparation.”
Anderson received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.
“To quote Biggie, ‘IT WAS ALL A DREAM!’ Words can’t begin to describe the emotional roller coaster I’m on right now. It’s been literally 30 years of brewing. This spring I was finally able to finish the work to graduate from University Howard,” he captioned his post in part.
Adding: “It’s never too late! Things happen when they are supposed to happen! I would like to thank Dr. Wayne Fredrick, Dean Phylicia Rashad, Dean Denise Saunders Thomas and Courtney Bless Long for helping to make this happen for me! It takes a village. Thanks to my son [Nathan Anderson] for inspiring me to return to school to complete my education after being accepted to Howard University. This is just the beginning! HU!”
Earlier this year, while appearing on an episode of The truthAnderson shared that he was only 15 credits away from graduating and planned to do so in the spring of 2022 after leaving college in his freshman year due to finances.
Anderson’s son also supported his dad’s big day by posting a photo of his dad among the class of 2022 with the caption, “Mood.”
